Dear Colleague:

As a young child, Dr. Raymond Damadian watched his grandmother die painfully of cancer.  This memory may have fueled his desire to find cures for some of the world's most devastating diseases.

Although Dr. Damadian is a celebrated inventor who invented magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) 30 years ago, he is first of all a medical doctor and research scientist.  That is what brings him to the  Tenth Armenian World Congress (AMWC09), July 1-4, 2009.

The Congress attendees have the great privilege of helping Dr. Damadian to celebrate the 30th anniversary of inventing the MRI.

Dr. Damadian will speak on Friday, July 3 as part of the Innovation in Medicine program. The winner of numerous awards and honors, in 2007 Dr. Damadian was named Inventor of the Year by the Intellectual Property Owners Education Foundation. He personally holds more than 70 U.S. patents.

Since he was enrolled at Albert Eienstein medical school, Dr. Damadian was drawn toward a career in research and eventually into a 10-year quest to unlock the mysteries of cell metabolism and chemical transport.  That search led him to consider the possibility that physics' nuclear magnetic resonance might be a powerful diagnostic tool for medicine.

Today the CEO of FONAR Corp., Dr. Damadian is just one of the world leaders and renowned experts who will come to New York to AMWC09 to share his knowledge, interact with a broad array of health professionals, and form lasting collegial relationships with Congress registrants from 10 nations and 5 continents.

Already, AMWC09 is a resounding success! Well over 200 accomplished health professionals and their families are committed. The Health Ministers of Great Britain and Armenia are attending, and the Scientific Program offers world-renowned experts. The first-ever Sub-Specialty Day on July 1 will delve deeply into nine specialties.

More than 260 attendees, spouses and families already are registered for the Dinner Cruise around Manhattan and the Gala Banquet they'll never forget!

You can't miss it --  and you won't miss it if you register now
